Dolores M. Slier

Dolores M. Slier, 65 of Berkeley Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 13, 2023. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Dolores had lived in Jackson prior to moving to Holiday City approximately two years ago. In her early life, Dolores had a successful career in international banking. After giving birth to her first daughter she quickly left her career behind to raise her children.

Dolores’ true passion in life was taking care of her family. She enjoyed reading, sewing, traveling, family dinners, Bingo nights with her daughters, and sunny days by the pool. She was known for her amazing cooking, quick hands on the slots, and unwavering zest for life. Dolores’ personality lit up every room she walked into and she left an everlasting impression everywhere she went. Dolores’ husband and daughters will always remember her as their best friend, an angel on earth, and a real life superhero. They find comfort in knowing that she is in a better place and will be the most incredible guardian angel to her grandson.

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents Vincent and Dolores Basile and her sister Helen Somerman. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Andrew; her daughter Melissa Chase and husband Adrian; her daughter Janice Kinchen and husband Kyle; her grandson Kaleb; her sister Karen Okola and husband Frank; her brother Thomas Basile and wife Lynn, and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Dolores will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 2:00PM to 6:00PM at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River.
