Daniel Edward O'Leary

We are sad to announce the passing of Daniel E. O’Leary, 81, of Bayville on Friday, February 3, 2023. Born in Jersey City, Dan moved to Bayville in 1971 where he lived with his wife Teresa and children for many years. In 2011, Dan moved to the HolidayHeights section of Toms River and later to Mountainside, NJ.

Dan attended Jersey City State College where he met his bride, and graduated with a degree in education. He worked for the Division of Youth and Family Services in Monmouth County for close to 30 years. In addition, he was very active with several organizations that focused on assisting children with disabilities. He was also a local youth basketball coach in Bayville for over 15 years. In his free time, Dan enjoyed

traveling, reading, swimming, and bike riding. He also sang in the adult choir at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Toms River.

Dan is predeceased by his wife Teresa O’Leary (nee Valentino). He is survived by his four children Daniel S. O’Leary (Jackie O’Leary), Judy Wargaski (Alan Wargaski), Michael O’Leary, and Christine O’Connor (Patrick O’Connor), as well as his 9 grandchildren; Amanda, Daniel, Evan, Robert, Ryan, Jack, Emma, Haley, and Zackary.

A visitation for Daniel will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM. A burial will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Silverton Road, Toms River, NJ 08753.
