Born in Hoboken, she resided in Jersey City and Bergenfield before settling in the Holiday Heights community of Berkeley 7 years ago.
Prior to retiring, she was a district manager for Walbaums for 30 years, where she oversaw 34 stores. Since retiring, Carol found great joy in volunteering for the First Aid Squad in Holiday Heights and was also a member of the pool committee. While living in Bergenfield, she was a member of Cornerstone at St. John's Church. An active parishioner of St. Joseph RC Church in Toms River, she was a member of the altar rosary society.
She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Marion Salisbury; and her brother, William Salisbury.
Surviving is her loving husband of 52 years, Matthew, Sr.; her children: Matthew, Jr. and his wife Juanita, and Jennifer Hrubes and her husband James; seven grandchildren: Leanne, Matthew, III, Amanda, Alexander, Edward, Meagan, and Kristina; one great-grandchild: Stephanie; her siblings: Richard and his wife Lianne, Barbara and her husband Fran, David and his wife Brenda, Michael, and Ellen and her husband Arthur; her step-mother, Gertrude Salisbury; her beloved aunt, Joan; her 3 best friends: Lois, Connie, and Carol; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Toms River. Interment will immediately follow at Brigadier General William C.
