Carol A. Ficarra

Carol was born on October 24, 1952, to Frederick and Constance MacDermant in Elizabeth, NJ. After graduating from Girls Catholic High School in Roselle, Carol worked at Union County College, where she met her husband, Richard. Carol spent years in retail at the Ocean County College bookstore, Macys, and Kohls.

Carol loved being by the water and enjoyed her summers in Lavallette with her family, feeling the evening ocean breeze. Carol also enjoyed attending church and spending her time with her grandchildren. She always visited with bags of goodies.

Carol joins her husband Richard in heaven, and is survived by siblings John MacDermant and wife Deborah, Eileen Tassitano, Michael MacDermant and wife Jane, Robert MacDermant and wife Cheryl, Joseph MacDermant and wife Lynda, Thomas MacDermant, Christopher MacDermant and wife Susan, son Joseph Ficarra and wife Karen, daughter Jennifer Ficarra and Fuequan Alexander, grandchildren Logan Alexander, Sadie Ficarra, Grace Ficarra, and Roman Alexander, and countless nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 25, from 4:00-8:00 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 685 Hooper Ave, Toms River, NJ. A committal service will occur Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 62 Cedar Grove Rd, Toms River, NJ.
