Anita M. Grasso

Anita Marie Grasso (nee Parmigiano) took her final journey on November 9th, 2023. Loving wife of the late Augustine J. Grasso, devoted mother of Gail and Ed Doherty, Roxanne and Richie Tobia, and Vicki and Jim Donlon. Proud Grandmother of Eddie and Stephanie Doherty, Nicole Doherty, Jenn Donlon, Ryan and Lunden Donlon, James and Abby Donlon,Michele and Ken Kosco, and Andrea and Ron Cofone, Great-Grandmother to Brody Donlon, Brixton Webb, and Jackson and Maddie Kosco. She also leaves behind her sister Lenora Oliverie, brother-in law and sister-in-law Grace and Charlie Molinaro, and the late brother-in-law and sister-in-law Vincent and Marie Carangelo, along with many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Anita enjoyed playing Classical Music on her piano, playing Mahjongg and baking her wonderful pound cakes which she loved to give out to friends and family. Holiday dinners will never be the same as she always made sure she cooked everyone’s favorite and plenty of it so you’ll be able to enjoy the leftovers. Anita was always considered as everyone’s “other mom”, a title she was proud of !

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday November 14, 2023 at 11:30 am at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church 130 St. Maximilian Lane Toms River, NJ 08757. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery 56 Cedar Grove Rd. Toms River, NJ 08753. In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Jude or the M.S. Foundation in Anita’s memory would be appreciated.
