Amanda D. Sanchez, 70, of Berkeley Township, NJ, passed away on August 6, 2019, at Community Medical Center in Toms River. She was born in El Salvador and lived in North Jersey before moving to Berkeley Township 28 years ago. Amanda worked for the State of New Jersey as a Vocational Rehabilitation Assistant to the Commission for the Blind for 23 years, retiring in 2006.
Amanda is survived by her wife Valerie Importico, her two sons Mario A. Sanchez and Lenny Sanchez, three grandchildren: Aurora, Vinnie, and Thomas, her sister Yolanda Cruz, and many other loved ones.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 10th, from 12 to 4 PM, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908, would be appreciated.
