The lights are out in the Atlantic City Casinos, at the racetracks and at the OTW in Toms River. When they return, they won’t shine as bright without Al Adams. On May 15th, 2020, Al passed away at home from cancer.
Al was born and raised in Kearny, NJ where he met and married his first wife Ruth and had three children. Al was a retired truck driver. They were living in Old Bridge when Ruth passed in 1997. Al eventually met and married his "sweetheart" Dolores Lastoczy. Frequenting the Tropicana and Resorts Casinos in Atlantic City, Al’s dream was to "win big" for Dolores.
Al is predeceased by his son Albert Adams Jr. and survived by his wife Dolores Adams; his son Ronald Adams and Betty (deceased), his daughter Denise Corcoran and Patrick; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Al is also survived by his extended family which includes Dolores’ daughters Maureen, Mariann, and Michele, and her five grandsons.
Al was an Air Force veteran of the Korean war and member of the Toms River American Legion Post 129. Following a private service, Al will be interred at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
