Shannon was born in Hillsboro, Oregon to Joan and Melvin Rose, on August 18th, 1957, and grew up in North Plains, Oregon. Shannon leaves her husband Jerry Montano, daughter Tiffany Montano, grandchildren Leticia, Danyal, Kristina, five great grandchildren, four siblings, several relatives, and many close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson.
Shannon and Jerry were married for 50 years. They lived in Hillsboro, Oregon until 1984 then moved to North Plains, Oregon for the next 38 years. They bought their house in Tonopah, Arizona in the summer of 2023 for their retirement, and to be close to all their kids who live nearby.
Shannon enjoyed baking, especially all her Christmas candy, something her mother did before her. She loved having her family over and watching the kids play outside. She loved to lend a helping hand at church and help others out whenever she could. She and Jerry loved to go camping, to sit outside and take in all the scenery and collect rocks, sometimes painting them. Shannon was loved by everyone. She was very caring and compassionate, but let’s not forget about her feisty side. That and her wonderful smile and laugh, we will miss the most.
