This morning there was a cochito walking along the edge of my stove. I have pest control, that shouldn't and doesn't happen (hehe). . . I smiled and thought of you. My heart still aches thinking of and missing you. I selfishly cried; just missing your laugh and voice. The nod and wave you used to give as I drove away. 

I know you're walking all of those golden roads in heaven. Listening to all the oldies and with all the best company. Enjoying best cooked steaks and endless cake-itos. No worries. No pain. Wish I could hug you... Love you and miss you.

When I was about 3ft tall, I was playing in the front yard casually looking over at Tio. Watching him patiently water the grass. Then he washed off the walkway. When he did that I saw all these black bugs crawling up the sidewalk. I couldn't run to him fast enough. Little me remembers something was wrong There were too many. We were outnumbered. They were closing in on us. My Tio laughed and said, "They're cochitos. They won't bite, look." He knelt down . Picked one up and let it crawl from his hand to mine. He chuckled, probably seeing fear in my eyes, saying, "They're filled with Vanilla. Wanna see?" I remember being unsure as he pinched it from my hand. I covered my face. Then heard CRUNCH, I looked up. He had broke it in half and stretched it! I remember it as if he stretched it from arm to arm . "Get one, try it." So i did "Vanillaaaa" He laughed at me so hard and said Vanilla the way I said it. It was almost like we started singing it together looking at each other breaking these poor bugs in half and laughing. Vanilla turned into "Nanillaaaaa" and we kept breaking them and pulling them apart till the sidewalk cleared. Of course, the ones we broke in half were, well...around. Then I said AGAIN! and he watered the sidewalk. Then I said Again!... He laughed, "Nooo. That's enough." Then he got serious and told me if I did it too much I could get a cochito on my face like him and he pointed to this round mole on the side of his face. "Did you know this is a cochito? It's asleep. It stays with me." I just starred at it waiting for it to move. A little scared but more curious. I think he could see this written on my face because he would look at me out of the corner of his eye with a big smile and laugh through his teeth "tshh", like he knew I was waiting for the cochito to wake up and move. Lori has a cochito on her face too and says I used to try picking it. Now she knows why. Lol! Thank you, Tio, for all the fun beautiful memories.  I LUV U SO MUCH SO MUCH!

Cousin Ricky rest in peace spread your wings and know that I will always remember the memories of us growing up together and having the same mole mole. Thank you for sending me the beautiful pink 💓 heart in the western sky your going to be missed more than you knew.
