Mariano Zaragoza

Mariano Cisneros Zaragoza, 76, formerly of Tolleson, passed away on April 1, 2014 in Peoria, AZ. Mariano was born on July 18, 1937 in Douglas, AZ to Mariano and Paula Zaragoza. He is survived by his wife Patricia; 2 brothers Mario and Ismael; 1 sister Delfi Cordova; 8 children Susan Lopez, Donna Gray, Judi "Pixie" Zaragoza, Lisa Cardenas, Sandra Jachymowski, Geri Giangarra, Julie Ward and James Tweet; 23 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Mariano was a Federal employee with the United States Postal Service for 30 years. He also served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 1/2 years and with several years in the National Guard. Service will be held at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd in Phoenix on Wednesday April 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Sun Air Estates Recreation Center 9600 N. 97th Lane in Peoria on Thursday April 10th from 2-5 pm. Mass dedicated in Mariano's honor will be at St. Thomas More, 6180 W. Utopia Rd. in Glendale 85308 (#623-566-8222) on Saturday April 5th at 5:00 p.m. also on Sunday April 6th at 7:30am, 9:00 a.m., and 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers we ask for donations to go to Giveforward.com in Mariano's memory.
