So there’s a story that was told between my father and my uncle Jim to us kids it was one of their favorites. At some point they shared bunkbeds uncle Jim onto my dad on bottom. Now granted when each person had told the story it was total little differently so I will give you my father’s version. With a little bit of my uncles at the end.Anyway when they were younger my dad would collect baseball cards it was his favorite thing to do he would get all the old baseball cards and he would get all the gum out of him and he would chew that gum and it would Make my uncle unbelievably upset because he never had any gum.Anything that the younger kids could do to uncle Jim they would because practical jokes was kind of a thing back then but uncle Jim was the biggest thing you didn’t mess with him. So there is my dad chewing on some gum late at night and uncle Jim asked him for a piece and my dad said no and uncle Jim said please let me have a piece so my dad got this big O booger booger And gave it to uncle Jim. By the time my dad was laughing hysterically uncle Jim had jumped off the top bunk and knocked him out. So a few days later my dad went in to grandma Anderson’s closet and got one of her sharp bobby pinsAnd he said that he would work it little by little because uncle Jim’s big but would leave an impression in the mattress LOL that’s when we would all laugh. Anyway he stuck the pin in his buttAnd of course that would explain the bump on my dad’s nose lol. Those two had so many stories that I would listen to late at night it was their favorite thing to do was tell me about their childhood when they were together .I keep this store is close to me that’s my heart I love them

Jim or Jimmy as we always called him was a great cousin and friend.  Our families spent a lot of time together. I have so many memories of Jimmy. He was a lefty and a great first baseman.  I think we adopted him during the baseball season so he could play with my brother on the team my dad managed so they would have the best first baseman in the league.  We, Jim,  his brother Steve, my brother Bob and Me always managed to find something great to do even if sometimes we ended up in trouble doing those great things.  We would  play baseball in the back yard or down at the park.  We would make a maze in the tall grass behind our house with lots of great camping areas and sleep under the stars.  When we would visit their home it was always a great time. Playing in the water in the back yard on those hot days. Hunting frogs in the slough. Walking to the Hemlock store to buy candy and soda.  Getting all the kids in the neighborhood to play baseball in the field across the street.  So grateful for the many memories.  Jimmy we will always love and miss you.  You are a great cousin. We will always and forever  share  the memories of growing up together.  Love you Jim  until we meet again. ❤️❤️❤️

Doug and Jim have been friends since Kindergarden. They share many memories to numberous to mention. After Doug and I were married we started having weekly Pinachole card nights with Jim and Pam. Over the years even though Jim  and his family moved away we kept in touch. 

I have so many memories with my Grandpa to cherish. He was always there, supporting all his family in anyway he could. He took us to the lake, he took us out for adventures, always attended important events in our lives, and he always made sure his family knew how much we mean to him. I love you grandpa ❤️
