Sherri L. Fink left our world for a better place on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the age of 50. Too young to us, but God had more plans for her. She was born in Toledo, OH on February 12, 1960 to Donald and Clyda Fink. The 4th of 5 children. She is survived by her siblings, E. Larry (Angie) Lemle, Terri (Clark) McKee, Gary Fink and Kerri (Bradley) Sorrell. Sherri attended Whitmer High School and graduated in 1978. She worked at several places of employment before venturing into cosmetology and worked as a hairdresser for Lion’s Store and then onto the Mane Attraction. She will be missed not only by her family and friends, but her clients as well. Sherri enjoyed life and had a terrific sense of humor. Going up to the lake since she was a child was a huge part of her life. Her great sense of landscaping molded the property into what it is today. Another one of her greatest enjoyments was music. She began playing the guitar at the age of 12 and was a gifted musician and singer. She taught guitar lessons to many children and adults as well. She was the Pied Piper to her musical friends who gathered with her frequently or anyone who just wanted to listen. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Seth, Kate, Laurie, Sarah and Joshua and a host of many other wonderful family members and friends. Visitation for a memorial service will be on Friday, January 21 at H.H.Birkenkamp Funeral home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (at Alexis) from 2:00pm-7:00pm with services beginning at 7:00pm. Big heartfelt thanks go out from her family to all that touched her life. For those who wish to make contributions, there will be a Musical Charity Box at the funeral home to help less fortunate children who would like to pursue music. Online condolences may be emailed to www.birkenkampfuneralhome.com
