Margaret Luella Monahan

Margaret L. (Marge) Monahan, age 90, of Maumee, Ohio passed away peacefully at Hospice of NWO on February 21, 2014. Marge Gormley was born June 16, 1923. She was a proud graduate of Libbey High School in 1941. It was there that she met her high school sweetheart and future husband, Edward J. Monahan. Marge and Ed were married for over 52 years. During their years together, they resided in Ohio and Florida.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Carol (Don) Ryan, Nancy (Daniel) Kapudjija, Tim (Sandy) Monahan, and Brian (Charlene) Monahan, grandchildren; Amy Kopas, Mike Ryan, Eric Jon Benington, Molly Jo Brixey, Shawn Monahan, Kevin Monahan, Marc Sanzenbacher, Nicki Monahan and 15 beautiful great grandchildren. She dearly loved all of her family. Welcoming her to Heaven are her husband Ed, son Michael Monahan, and grandson Matthew Benington.

Marge loved her friends, volunteering at St. Luke’s and her fellowship at church. Expressions of sympathy and a thank you to Maumee United Methodist Church and Hospice of Northwest Ohio are welcome.
