On January 19, 2024, Stephen William Dauses passed away. He is the husband of the late Candy Dauses and domestic partner of Debra Fangikis; dear father of Jason Dauses and his wife Jacqueline, and Nikki Macias and her significant other Dax Spriggs; stepfather of Lenny Swiger and his wife Kristy, and Tiffany Carter and her husband Frank; cherished grandfather of Justin, Hailee, Alex, Savannah, Jaxson, Sydney, Cole, and Cash; dear brother of Ken Dauses and his wife Linda; uncle of Erin Dauses and Alex Dauses.
Steve graduated from Calvert Hall College High School in 1966 where he played football, basketball, and lacrosse. Baltimore Jr. College is where he also played football and lacrosse and later was inducted to the Jr. College Men's Lacrosse Hall of Fame. At Hofstra University he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 1970 and was an All-American lacrosse attackman, setting records for goals and assists that still stand and was noticed by Sports Illustrated Magazine. Steve continued his education to receive his Master's Degree and Certifications in social work and education. He taught Psychology and coached lacrosse at Calvert Hall, then taught at Risk Students in Baltimore County and Garrett County as a Social Worker. His unique, positive, caring, down-to-earth style reached and helped students, parents and teachers improve their knowledge and outcomes.
He loved tennis, lacrosse, sports cars, sketching, fixing/building things, watching TV and adored his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc. 10 W. Padonia Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Monday, January 29, 2024, for a memorial Gathering from 3:00-5:00 pm, with a memorial Service and a time of sharing beginning at 4:30 pm.
