Rita B. Downey, 88, passed away on August 17, 2021; loving wife of the late David J. Downey for 58 yrs.; beloved mother of David J. Downey, Jr. and his spouse Kirkland Hamill, Timothy P. Downey and his spouse Peter Easley, and Marybeth Downey Drusano and her spouse Michael; cherished grandmother of Meredith, Caroline and Ryan Drusano and his wife Elizabeth, and Patrick, Corcoran and David J. Downey, III and his wife Lindsey; Dear sister of the late Lawrence Bockstie, Jr., Richard Bockstie, Dorothy McElroy, Angela Carolan, and Alma Trout; Dear friend of Patty Lewis; as well as Friend of several loving care givers.
The family will receive friends at the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc., 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 4 to 6pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 101 Church Lane, Cockeysville, MD 21030 on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11AM. Interment the adjoining cemetery.
