Jay Hudson passed away on March 31, 2025. He was the beloved father of Karen Brackin and her husband Keith, Jack Hudson, III and his wife Denise, and Mark Hudson. Jay was a dear brother to Russell Hudson (Jane), Rick Hudson (Nicki), Marc Hudson (Rona), Joan Cochran, Susan Murray (Mark), and the late Bob Hudson. He is also survived by his 6 cherished grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
For many years, Jay dedicated his career to ironwork. As an ironworker, he proudly contributed to significant projects, including the construction of the second span of the Bay Bridge and the Key Bridge.
Beyond his work, Jay had a passion for photography and found joy in capturing moments through his lens. He also served his community as a driver for the Maryland Transportation Authority (MTA) Bus and the Baltimore County School Bus.
Jay had a deep affection for all types of animals, earning him the affectionate nickname "the Pied Piper of Brooklyn." His kindness towards creatures great and small was a testament to his caring nature.
In his leisure time, Jay enjoyed fishing and was an enthusiastic member of a dart league. He also loved the local flavors of crabbing and was a devoted fan of the Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Ravens.
The family will receive friends in the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc. 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Monday, April 14, 2025 from 4pm to 6pm.
