James "JB" Via

James Via, a devoted husband of 16 years, passed away on September 27th, 2023. James will always be remembered for his unwavering love for his wife, Tammy Lynn Via. James was the son of Cathy Via and the late Ray Via; dear brother of Peggy, Claire, Joseph and his wife Diana, Blaise and his wife Karen, the late Gregory and his wife Sondra, and the late Timothy and his wife Mary. Jimmy loved and was loved by his many nieces, nephews, and goddaughter.

The family will receive family and friends at the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc. 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, Maryland 21093, on Monday, October 2nd, from 3:00-5:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. A funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, October 3rd at 10:30am at St. Michael the Archangel Church on 10 Willow Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21206. Friends and family are invited to a graveside burial at The Parkwood Cemetery immediately following mass, and a celebration of life will take place at Buck Fowler’s Tavern.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed in James’s memory to the National Aphasia Association and The Johns Hopkins Hospital Endocrine Oncology Department.
