Edna C. Gompf, 92 passed away on August 31, 2021; beloved wife of the late Calvin K. Gompf; devoted mother of Claire D. Glover and her spouse Bryan, Matthew K. Gompf and his spouse Bonnie, Valerie Gompf and her spouse Pepper Phillips, and Eric K. Gompf and his spouse Soledad; Cherished grandmother of Matthew C. Gompf and his spouse Stephanie, Connor Gompf, Caitlin Gompf and her fiancée Steve, Curtis Burnham, Callie Gompf-Phillips, Andrea Gompf-Browne and her spouse Rembert, Alexander Gompf, and great grandmother of Evelyn Gompf, Shay and Cole Gompf.
Edna was born in Baltimore, Maryland and was a graduate of Eastern High School. While attending college, she married her husband Calvin Gompf. She worked part-time, while raising a family of four children. She loved music, taking piano lessons in her seventies, and singing and dancing throughout her entire life. Edna was an avid traveler, reader and life-long learner; she enjoyed life to the fullest.
The family will receive friends in the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc. 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Saturday, September 4 from 11am to 12pm at which time a funeral service to celebrate Edna’s life will be held at 12pm. Interment will follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed in Edna’s memory to Alzheimers Association, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
