Earl Hine Arnette, Jr - son of the late Earl Hine Arnette, Sr. and Gwendolyn Louise Arnette was born August 23, 1964 in Brooklyn, New York. He departed this life after a lengthy illness and entered an eternal life on Wednesday November 20, 2024. Earl Jr. (affectionately called Junior growing up) was the youngest of two children. Earl Jr. was educated in the New York City public school system and graduated from Tilden High School. He later attended Howard University where he majored in electrical engineering.
After completing his education, Earl Jr. settled in Maryland and pursued a career in telecommunications, working for several well-known companies, including Bell Atlantic, Contel, Hughes and Motorola. Earl would definitely let you know that he built the cell towers that allow you to use your cell phones today. Upon retiring from telecommunications, he started several companies. E A Properties, LLC, being the 1st, focused on buying and renovating abandoned buildings in West Baltimore. Earl’s passion for restoring West Baltimore continued to grow and gave birth to a second company, Arnette Homes LLC. Arnette Homes would build homes from the ground up on vacant lots in West Baltimore. He was truly dedicated to the 21217. In 2023 Earl developed The Aged-Out Foundation, a non-profit organization, dedicated to educating young men who had aged out of the foster care system without learning a skill to successfully fund their future. The program was developed to educate young men, teaching them the skills Earl had perfected over the last 20 years in Plumbing, Electric and HVAC. When successfully completing the program, Earl would guarantee job placement in one of his companies or one of his partner companies. Unfortunately, his illness took him before he could see the fruits of his labor. This speaks to the kind of person Earl was, always willing to help others better themselves, sharing his “knowledge nuggets” with anyone who would listen. He had a true desire to make a difference, not just make a profit. Earl would often say “I am going to run for mayor, I just need one term to turn this city around.”
Earl’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of his two sons Earl “EJ” Hine Arnette III and Anthony Oddie Arnette and his Loving Partner Kristal Weems. He also leaves to mourn a sister, Sharon Arnette and a niece, Shauna Arnette (South Orange, N.J.), Aunts Mary Ellen Locke (Adrian) (Detroit MI), Betty Jean Graham (Fair Bluff N.C.), Elizabeth Townsend (High Point N.C.), Ernestine Brown (Lakeview, S.C.), a special cousin Kenneth Brown, two special nephews Granford (Grant) Collins and Kahreem R Cunningham, a dedicated friend and employee Agustin (Jose) Fernandez, a friend and Mentee Joseph Rakiec and a host of relatives and friends.
