I happend across Diane's obituary after having a conversation with a colleague who worked with her on Capitol Hill.  I am so sorry to have learned of her passing nearly a year later.  My best wishes to her family and in particular to her parents.  Many fond memories of those days growing growing up in Baltimore.  While her life may have been short it certainly was full and seems to have touched so many.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Habicht,
I am Susan Wiz's younger sister; Diane used to call me Little Wiz.  I am so sorry to learn of Diane's passing and wanted you to know I cherish the wonderful memories with her at PSU, in DC, at Ocean City, MD and as bridemaids together at Susan's wedding.  My husband and I also visited Diane at Spauling Rehab when we lived in Boston.  Diane was always such a joy!  Sadly, a beautiful bright light was taken from the world too soon.  I will pray for Diane and may she rest in peace.

We learned of Diane's death reading the on-line notices in the Baltimore Sun. The years pass quickly and we are sorry for your loss. May God bless and comfort you during this time.

My thoughts & deepest sympathies are with everyone in the family.  I met Diane through my sister Brenda & cousin Susan many years ago.She was  sooooo beautiful & fun. I had physically lost contact with her over the past 12 years as I have moved to California, but my sister Brenda kept me up-to-date & when I got the phone call yesterday that she has passed, I was very saddened.  I do want to commend her wonderful mom & dad for all the wonderful love & care, I heard was provided, so freely & generously.  Believe me as a nurse of 35 years I have seen much different senarios. Diane, it seems like just yesterday we were playing on your swingset on Parkway Drive and chasing the boys in the neighborhood. We were childhood best friends and I will always have fond memories of our times together playing the piano and giggling endlessly. One day I'll see you again in His Kingdom.

I went to Dulaney with Diane and she always had the nicest dispositon and smile. I am sorry that she has been taken from her family so soon in life.
