David L. Pindell Sr.

David Lee Pindell, Sr. of Cockeysville, MD passed away on March 20, 2016, peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born May 22, 1928 to William and Emily Pindell. David was a Graduate of Towson High School, class of 1945. His Career began in 1946 at old Lockwood Peck investment firm. David proudly served in the Navy from 1950 to 1952, on the USS Mandan LS. After the navy, David went to work with Alexander Brown & Sons were he retired in March of 1993. He served as Junior Warden, and on the board of Cemetery Management Trust at Sherwood Episcopal Church and was active in local community associations and American Legion. He was avid gardener and dog lover. David was the loving father of Pamela D. Alvarez and her husband Gene, David L. Pindell, Jr. and Rebecca L. Laatsch and her husband Roger; cherished “Granddad” of Heather Laser, Meghann Kistler, Amanda Balish, Valerie Wheeler, Jennifer Laatsch, Amanda Lee, Kenneth Alvarez and Taylor McArdle. Also lovingly survived by 16 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends in the LEMMON FUNERAL HOME OF DULANEY VALLEY INC., 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, MD 21093 on Tuesday, 3-5 & 7-9pm. Funeral Services will be celebrated in Sherwood Episcopal Church, 5 Sherwood Road, Cockeysville, MD 21030 on Wednesday, March 23 at 11am. Interment the adjoining cemetery.
