Charlie lived a life of service, kindness, and unwavering love for his country, faith, and family. As an Army Ranger, he bravely served in Vietnam, forging lifelong bonds with fellow soldiers and always seeking out other veterans to share stories, honor their service, and support one another.
Beyond his military service, Charlie was a man of great warmth and generosity. He never met a stranger, always welcoming others with his kind heart and engaging spirit. He found immense joy in spending time with his family, especially on cherished trips to Disney World. A devoted Catholic, his faith was the guiding light in his life, shaping his love and compassion for others.
He was an avid reader, a lover of music, and a passionate sports fan, always cheering for the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles. Whether sharing a book recommendation, discussing a favorite song, or watching a game with loved ones, he brought enthusiasm and joy to every moment.
He is survived by his “BW “Joan D. Snelling, beloved father of Beverly C. Miller, Cyndi S. Brinkley , and Dottie Cieslak and her husband Joe; cherished grandfather of Allyson, Katie, Keith and Bella; dear brother of Margaret “Sissie” Dahl.
