To Steve, Winton, Laura, Matt, Megan, Beth and Rob,    We are deeply saddened by Carolyn's passing.  She was a wonderful, caring lady. She always had a kind word and always a smile. I liked her the first time I met her and loved her more after getting to know her. When our son moved away from our home here in Pennsylvania and met Laura, it made that so much easier for us to accept, knowing Laura's Mom (and the rest of their family) cared so deeply for our son (and our family). We have shared vacations together and have many happy memories that we all will cherish forever. We will miss her greatly and keep her in our hearts and prayers.

I feel so blessed to have known Carolyn.  We worked together both at Stella Maris and  the TCU at St. Joseph's Hospital.  We lived in the same community and shared so many stories about our children.   She was such a special person and truly touched the lives of all who knew her. Compassion, genuine caring and  love were the gifts she gave constantly to her patients!  There was not a better nurse than Caroyyn.  I will miss her.   Please accept my sincere condolences and know that you all will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Miss Carolyns kindness and smile were infectious. Each time I saw her she had something sweet to say to me or to pass along to my family. She was so good at crafts..we still have the caroling angel she made for me one Christmas :) It was a treat to meet her and I know my family feels the same.  She demonstrated compassion, caring, and love.

We were lucky enough to meet Carolyn Aust when our daughter was lucky enough to have her daughter Laura as her college roommate at Villanova University.  Laura was the best roommate and friend to Molly that any parent could ask for.  And after meeting Carolyn, it was very apparent where Laura learned how to be so compassionate and fun to be around.  Carolyn certainly possessed those qualities and passed them on to her daughters.     We feel very fortunate to have known Carolyn and treasure the friendship and memories with the Aust Family.

 I am so sorry to hear of this devastating news today. I worked with Carolyn at St. Joseph's on the TCU and always remember her as the nurse one could ALWAYS go to when you had a question and she never made you feel like your question was silly or not valid. She was friendly to everyone and always had a smile on her face. She was one of those individuals that truly loved her life's choice to be a nurse and wanted to share that with other nurses and staff members. We were all blessed to know her.   Unfortunately I cannot make it today to honor her life as I have to work...but she is in my heart, as is her family.

I'm so glad that I've known your mom for my entire life.  She was such a caring and thoughtful person who also had a ton of fun (with an extra bit of sparkle and rhinestones!) Dear Laura and family, my deepest condolences to you all. Your mom was one of the sweetest, kindest, most thoughtful and caring people I had ever met. From the first time I met her when Laura and I were freshman in college, she made me feel at ease, comforted and cared for. She always showed genuine interest and concern about others' lives and loved to pitch in to make  monumental times in our lives more special. I'll never forget when she showed up with Laura and her dad at my bridal shower, ready to turn it in to such a fun and memorable day. She and Laura went out of their way tending to every detail and to help make it a fabulous occasion. She even made a beautiful towel cake for me and I still think of her when I use the towels today. She had an enthusiasm for life and a graciousness toward other people that showed up in her exquisite party planning. She was more than happy to quietly offer her time and excitement to make others feel special. Her passion and enthusiasm for her friends and family even showed when we went to tot swaps to look for baby gear for miss megan and ian. her excitement made everything you did with her more fun. She was also  so devoted to helping others and touched me deeply when she walked in the breast cancer walk in honor of my mom. This devotion to friends and family is something she passed on to her daughters and no doubt will be evident in her sweet little granddaughters too. You could tell that there is nothing that thrilled her more than being nanny. Her granddaughters are so lucky to have the most beautiful guardian angel. Laur, your mom no doubt taught you how to be an amazing, loyal friend who is always there...know that in the days ahead and always, I will be there for you and your family as you have been for me. I was blessed to know Carolyn for a very brief period when first starting in nursing & working at Stella Maris. Memories of Carolyn that stick out so vividly well were the soothing nature she had in calming any escalating patient down. I also remember Carolyn & Hilda keeping the patients & staff laughing when they were together. These great memories have contributed to valuable lessons learned when becoming a nurse. My heart goes out to you & your family at this time & in the days to come.
