Brian's father and I are cousins (our Mothers were sisters. I never got to know Brian since the last time I saw him he was still in grade school. His untimely death is truly unfortunate. Our prayers go out to his family.

The fact that during his teen-aged years he sacrificed his free  time to help coach youth basketball teams, referee basketball and baseball games, and serve his church as an altar boy, all exemplify the character that Brian possessed. He truly was a man that anyone would be happy to call a husband, father, son, brother, or friend. However difficult it may be, during these trying times it helps to remember that Brian now is in a better place. Heaven is usually described as eternal happiness, and based on the person that he was, that is surely the place that he is at now and will remain so forever. Therefore, he is already with you Wendy, Gabriella, Tom, Pat, Chris, and the rest of his family and friends, because there is no way that Brian would be able to experience total happiness without all of you being there with him. He is not the one who is waiting to be reunited with us, but rather us with him. I was a high school classmate of Brian's.  He was so funny, so engaging, so genuine.  He was just a really good guy.  I feel such sadness, as the world has lost someone truly remarkable.  I hope warm and loving memories are soothing all who miss him.

Although I only had the pleasure of knowing him for a short while on the courts and fields of Hereford while coaching our children, in that time I could see what a truely special person Brian was.  His competitive spirit was something to see. But, most of all, Brian's love for his family, friends, and community was very apparent. He will be missed by all that he touched.

Gatto family, Brian will always be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, son and friend. Those who knew him will never forget him. You are in my constant thoughts and prayers.
