Yvonne Lucille Johnson

Yvonne Lucille Johnson, age 76, of Tigard, Oregon passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022. Yvonne was born in Los Angeles, CA on April 3rd, 1946 to her parents Edward and Mary Quick. Yvonne's father was a mechanic who worked on race cars, because of this Yvonne was fascinated with racing and watched every Indy 500 race. In recent years her children took her to see it live, and it was such a wonderful experience she raved about it for the rest of her life! She loved racecars, sewing, gardening, raising and caring for animals, and dancing. In her high school years, she was told she wasn't a singer, so she took to dancing. She danced in the play The King and I in high school and loved musicals ever since- particularly West Side Story.

Yvonne was a loving and supportive mother, grandmother, wife, friend, and neighbor. She was a single mother for over 30 years. She raised her children while working full-time, and still made time to be involved in her community and support her children's interests. She worked in credit unions throughout her professional life and worked her way up to CEO of a credit union. She made many friends and lasting relationships through her work. Yvonne was a proud mother, always boasting about her children, and later her grandchildren! She also always had an animal companion in the home. She had many canine companions in her lifetime, of all sizes and breeds!

In 2012 Yvonne married Ron Johnson in Reno NV, with all of their children and grandchildren present. They enjoyed a wonderful marriage together. She baked, Ron cooked, and they tended to her flower garden, raised basset hounds, and celebrated Christmas with their ever-expanding family. She loved decorating for Christmas and shopping for gifts for her children, grandchildren, and grand dogs.

Yvonne will be remembered for the love and support she gave to those around her.

She is survived and dearly missed by her loving husband Ron, children Matthew and Chris, grandchildren, extended family, and her two basset hounds Flash and Gordon.
