Terrence Samuel of Portland, Oregon, passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 52, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable presence.
Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Terrence carried the vibrant spirit of the islands with him wherever he went. He loved sharing his culture through music, stories, and especially his cooking—his dishes were more than meals; they were acts of love and connection.
Terrence was a force of nature—larger than life, endlessly charismatic, and someone who never met a stranger. Whether he was lighting up a room with his booming laugh or making a lasting connection with someone he just met, Terrence had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and valued.
A diehard Minnesota Vikings fan, Terrence brought the same loyalty and passion to everything he did. He built a successful construction company from the ground up, not just as a business, but as a means to support his family, his employees, and the community he loved. He took immense pride in being able to provide others with opportunity, stability, and purpose.
Above all else, Terrence loved his children deeply. They were his pride, his motivation, and the truest reflection of his generous heart.
His impact will live on in the relationships he built, the lives he touched, and the legacy of strength, kindness, and connection that he leaves behind.
A memorial mass for Terrence will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at St Anthony's Catholic Church, 9905 SW McKenzie St, Tigard, Oregon 97223.
