Stanley Edward Tanada

Stanley “Stan” Edward Tanada (nee Douthit) was born at Emanuel Hospital on March 10, 1966, we lost our beloved Son, Brother and Uncle on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. Though Stan never married he was fiercely loyal to family and friends and epitomized the saying, ‘he’d give you the shirt off his back’.

Stan attended primary school at Redland Elementary in Redland, OR; after his dad, Ken Tanada passed away, his mom Heidi Tanada moved the family to Tualatin Oregon. Stan finished his secondary education at Twality Jr. High and Tigard High School as part of the class of 1984.

For those that really knew and loved Stan we hope your memories of him include that he was a sensitive, deeply caring man, with a, at time really offensive, but funny AF sense of humor, passion for collectibles, love of vinyl music, creating “killer” food and his “you got time to lean, you got time to clean” work ethic.

Always fortunate with good health, over the past summer he was diagnosed with early onset dementia/Alzheimer’s and was awaiting testing that was indicating cancer. Having seen his beloved grandfather wither before his eyes from dementia Stan was terrified of his pending future. Stan was mercifully reunited from a heart attack in his sleep, with his loved family members; grandfathers (Robert O. Mitchell & Jack Douthit), dad Ken Tanada, Uncle Harry Aaby and brother in law, Darren Holloway, all preceding him in death.

Stan is survived by; His mom, Heidi Tanada, sister, Eloise Tanada-Holloway, nephew Mitchell Holloway, niece and nephew in law, Tatiana Holloway Koch and Doug Koch; biological paternal grandmother, Edna Douthit, biological father and step-mom, Stan and Carol Douthit, brother and sister in law, Steve and Deana Watson Douthit, Sr. and sister and brother in law Stephanie and Michael Hoff as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins from the Tanada, Douthit and Mitchell families.

Services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 7th and all are welcome!

Internment at Crescent Grove Cemetery @1:00PM. 9925 SW Greenburg Rd,Tigard, OR 97223

Reception at their community clubhouse following internment; located at Eldorado Villas 17055 SW Eldorado Dr., King City OR 97224
