In 1954, Ron married the love of his life Helen Neill who he spent many years sharing a special passion with for classic cars, and he particularly loved building their motors. Some hobbies they shared were working on cars together, going boating, and dressing up as Mr. and Mrs. Claus for Christmas.
Since Ron was a handyman and loved to tinker with anything he could get his hands on, for his 35th anniversary with Helen, he hand built her a gazebo for their yard in just one day. This was such an important piece for their relationship, so when Helen passed in July, he decided to move the Gazebo, and they had to take extra special care moving in 10ft at a time, to ensure it would always stay intact.
Ron and Helen were married for 66 wonderful years. Together they had two children, David and Tom. After Polly married Tom, Ron found in her a kindred spirit who he felt was meant to be in his family, especially after she gave him a grandchild that he loves and adores.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife Helen Bartlett; son David Bartlett; and his parents George and Mildred Bartlett. He is survived by his son Tom Bartlett; daughter-in-law Polly Bartlett; and granddaughter Chloe.
A graveside service for Ronald will be held Friday, October 16, 2020 from 12:00 PM at Cooper Mountain Evangelical Cemetery, SW Grasser St., Aloha, OR 97008.
