Richard Deisner, beloved husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, and friend, passed away peacefully at his daughter's home in Tigard, Oregon, on Friday morning March 21, 2025. A longtime resident of Tigard, Richard lived a life filled with love, music, and faith.
Born to Howard and Vadette Deisner in Tacoma, Washington, Richard was the fourth of six children. At a young age, he discovered his passion for music and was gifted his first drum set at just four years old—a love that would remain with him throughout his life. His early years were spent in Beaverton, Oregon, before his family settled in Eugene.
In 1986, Richard married the love of his life, Tonya, and together they built a beautiful family in Metzger, Oregon. He was a devoted father to his five children—Amber Pointer, Heather Deisner, Andrew Deisner, Tyler Deisner, and Hannah McNamee—along with their spouses, whom he embraced as his own. He was also a proud and loving Granddad to ten grandchildren- Anthony, Ocean, Maxwell, Zoee, Samuel, Sergio, Oaklee, Molly, Lilianna, and Brynlee.
Richard is also survived by his two brothers and two sister's.
Richard’s life was defined by his deep dedication to family, his unwavering faith in Jesus, and his incredible talent as a drummer. His kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and musical gifts touched the lives of many. Whether through a shared laugh, a heartfelt conversation, or the rhythm of his drumming, Richard made the world a brighter place.
A celebration of his life will be announced in the coming months. Until then, his family finds comfort in the love and memories he left behind.
