Michael Elvin Mills

After suffering a stroke, Michael passed away at his home in Tigard, Oregon surrounded by his family including his four daughters. Mike was born in McMinnville and raised in Newberg, Oregon where he graduated from Newberg High School in 1969. He then went to Oregon State University for two years before he joined the army. Mike married the love of his life, Beverly Annette Dutton, in 1976. He originally worked as a typesetter and later worked at UPS (United Parcel Service). He retired in 2015.

Mike was one of four children (a sister, Linda Cox, and two brothers, David Mills, and Brian Mills (deceased 2005)) born to Helen (Marie) (deceased 2002) and Otto (Elvin) (deceased 2016) Mills. He was married for 38 years before becoming a widower in 2014; he never remarried.

Mike will forever be remembered by his four daughters, Heather Putnam, Hollie Harms, Hillary Mills and Haleena Price; his brother, David Mills; his sister, Linda Cox; his treasured grandsons - Logan Putnam, Camden Putnam, Mylan Putnam, Wyatt Oman and Ryker Price and countless other friends and family who were blessed to have known such a kind man. He joins his parents, Helen (Marie) and Otto (Elvin), his brother, Brian, his wife, Bev, and his daughter, Hayley, in heaven.

Mike loved his dog, Harlynn, camping, hiking, riding his RZR, Flying Pie Pizza, chicken wings and weekly lunches with his friend, Gary. Mike was a man of few words, but to know him was to love and respect him.

Friends and family will be invited to attend a gathering of Flying Pie pizza at the family home on a date to be determined.
