Janice Mary Haskin

Jan, mother and grandmother is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jenny and Dave Metschke, and granddaughter Helen Metschke, brother, Larry Haas, and sister, Mary Daniel. Preceding her in death was her dad and mom, Herman and Mary Haas and brother, Tom Haas. Jan grew up in Tigard and graduated from Tigard High School in 1972.

Jan enjoyed a long and successful career. After several years as a paralegal in an attorney’s office Jan worked in mortgage loan servicing until her retirement, devoting herself to that challenging and complex business. She was highly regarded as an expert by her coworkers and her managers because she possessed such a wealth of knowledge, always ready to help others.

Jan was hospitalized about two weeks ago with pneumonia and appeared to be improving but took a sudden turn and passed in the hospital on Monday. She will be missed by her family and friends.

A get together for family and friends will be planned at a later date.
