She was born on November 10, 1949 in Portland, Oregon to Eleanor and Leonard V. Cook Sr. and spent most of her young adult life in the Tigard, Oregon region. She moved to Anchorage, Alaska in 1984 where she met her late husband Norman Mugleston.
Retiring to Albuquerque in 1997, Janet was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her treasured Schnauzers - Molly and Megan, walking with them daily. She also loved traveling to visit family and grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her daughter, Tami Weaver and son, Todd Kociemba; son-in-law, David Weaver; granddaughters, Shelby and Sarah Weaver; step- children, Leslie Porter (John), Jeff Mugleston, Cheryl Mugleston and grandchildren, Amanda and J.J. Porter; three sisters, Linda Ezell, Diane Purkey, Nancy Martell and numerous nieces and nephews. Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Norm; her parents and her brothers, Leonard V. Cook Jr. and Steven Cook.
