Doris Jean Smith was born in Portland, Oregon on June 23, 1928 to Viktor and Ethel Anicker.

After leaving home to become a teacher at the age of eighteen, Doris met and married Wes.

Doris taught at the elementary school level for over thirty years and loved every minute of it.

In her free time, Doris enjoyed gardening, reading, and walking around her neighborhood.

Doris passed away in the presence of friends and family on October 3, 2018.

She will be missed by many.
