Doris was the third of four children born to Arthur and Thelma Crawshaw. After a lifetime of battling MS, she has gone to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior.
Doris was born in Colorado, and spent much of her youth in Bend, Oregon. She enjoyed school and participating in sports, excelling at both. In Bend she met and married the man she would spend her life with, Eldon R. Branch. After Eldon’s military service, they settled in Portland, then moved to Tigard in 1965.
Doris loved her family deeply. She and Eldon were blessed to have two children, John and Lonnie, six grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
As a family, they enjoyed boating, and especially water-skiing. Doris was an excellent slalom skier! Later as Grandparents, they built many memories camping and fishing with the grandkids.
Doris had a strong faith in Christ. She attended Calvin Presbyterian Church, taught Sunday School, and was active in Bible Study Fellowship for many years. She was a loving, caring, passionate, strong-willed, woman with a great sense of humor. And she was always thankful. Even as the MS robbed her of her physical abilities, her faith, strong spirit and positive attitude were an encouragement and a testimony to every life she touched until the very end.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband Eldon.
