Donald was born in West Salem to George and Florence Thurman. He graduated from Salem High School in 1946. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. In 1949 he married Lois Eggers. His career was in sales for 30 years; working for Nalley's Corp., Grandma's and Mother's Cookie co.'s. In 1996, he married Mary Pendergraft. He is survived by his wife Mary, children Karen (John) Berrigan, Ramona (Gary) Bradshaw, Dan (Clarisa) Thurman, Annette Thurman and Don Rankin. Memorial Mass at St. Anthony Church, Tigard, Tues., Feb. 14, 2012 at 10:30am. Private internment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Portland. Send donations to St. Vincent DePaul Society, Tigard.
