Gary, Cathy, and Cheryl.....I'm truly sorry to hear about your dad passing. I just learned of this from my mom. You're father sure scared me the first time I met him, goodness did he tease me, but I quickly got over that! He was always friendly and loving. My thoughts are with all of you. Gary and girls, so sorry to hear about your dad's passing.  We hadn't seen him or your mom for almost 30 years when they came to Grants Pass.  We were wondering about them just a couple of weeks ago.  So glad my brother saw the notice and sent it to us.  Just read it today (May 17) as we were on vacation and returned last night.  You are so blessed to have had him for so long.  Again, our deepest sympathy.  Larry and Sharon Lee

As unique as I am, he wouldn't trade me for the world. His words, not mine. So I go through my shelves and try to find something just right and realize that he is so much more valued than a regurgitated, yet beautiful, poem. So I wrote my own. I am not saying it is good. But is is from me to Grandpa, and that... is all that matters. 
Here's to orange california poppies 
and cheeky kisses of strong coffee
while classic records were spinning 
and venetian glass was grinning.
"What The Road Passes By",
a treasure for Shirley Temple and I.
As I perched on a stool
and recieved education better than school.
Literature was a gift,
More precious than any I had wished.
Balding head and Buddha Belly 
(both rubbed for good luck),
Knowledge of multiple languages,
Some of which... have stuck.
Hungry Koi nibbled the tips of my toes,
Golden delicious apple flavor
and fragrant roses tickled my nose.
The Master Carver, The Head of the Table, with manners perfected.
Never let there be a lesson in life neglected.
Toucan tattoo..."An anchor" he claimed,
thought me quite silly,
a clown was my name.
Always aesthetically aware,
and pumpkin pie from scratch shared.
Photography quite cherished,
my every endeavor encouraged,
If only I had known then...why you thought I was worth it.
Now, as a parent myself, your values are recalled,
"Forgiveness" I believe, 
trumps them all.
So... food, a pleasure in life we've intended to enjoy,
reunited us over time,
and brought us joy.
Time to wrap it up now,
because tears, are not your style.
Besides, you know me,
I could motor-mouth for awhile.
So with that being well known,
I restate your point all along,
"blood is thicker than water",
And I am honored to be your Grandaughter.

I love you Grandpa. Tell Grandma that I am forever indebted to the love you both have bestowed upon me.

I keep coming back to these pages to look at the pictures.  While I have not seen my uncle Donald in a few years, I have a smile on my face and a sadness in my heart viewing him and his family because I loved my uncle and I'm sad that he is no longer with us.  "God bless those left behind" is something my grandmother always said and it certainly rings true.  God bless my family.

I spent several years working with Don at UPS and am so sorry to har of his passing . He will be at peace in heaven.

Words cannot express how sorry we are to hear of your loss.

Sad to lose a dear friend but Im very happy to know hes in Heaven dancing with his wife once again.

We have such fond memories of Don, visiting with him and listening to all the places he had been.  Quite knowleable in so many things.  He has suffered these last few years and hope he is now in Peace.  Friends Howard & Kay Thorsfeldt, Tigard Oregon.

Don and I had many good talks about our shared interest of guns. He was like an encylopedia. I even bought a few from Don over the years. I'll miss Don at the watering hole. My life has been gifted to know and enjoy good times with Don.

Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this very difficult time.

Had many a good chat with Don and very saddened to hear of his passing.
