Betty Lou Barker

Betty Lou Barker, age 88, originally from Garden Home Oregon, spending her last couple of years at a home in Vancouver, Washington passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Betty was born August 7, 1933, in Caldwell Idaho to Nora and Lonnie Thomas. Betty was an avid scrap-booker and quilter, she was the unofficial documentarian of the Barker family, as she was always snapping pictures of her loved ones. Betty was an avid gardener, having grown up on a farm, she prided herself on her plants and flowers. She also loved jewelry and make-up, particularly her mauve lipstick. Young Betty was also homecoming queen of Wilder High, class of 1951!

Betty was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She and her beloved husband, David, had been married for over 54 years. They even had the same pastor who married them at their wedding, remarry them at their 50th anniversary!

Betty is survived and dearly missed by her children; Tom, David, Doug, Leigh Ann (Annie), and Claudine; her 12 grandchildren; and her 6 great-grandchildren.
