William Chris "Greek" Shukas

William C. "Greek" Shukas of Thornton, Colorado, passed away September 17, 2022. He was 68 years old. William, the youngest of three sons, was born in Chicago, IL, on June 23, 1954 to Chris and Mercina (Yagnisis) Shukas.

Greek was the beloved husband to Carol (Wisniewski), father to Demetria, brother to Charles (Elizabeth) Shukas and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Greek was preceded in death by his brother, James.

Greek loved his family, motorcycles, the outdoors and especially working with his hands. In 1982, he fulfilled his passion and dream to open his own woodworking shop where he could create and build beautiful custom designs for furniture and kitchens. With hard work and determination, he lived his dream for 40 years. Though he may have left our side, he will continue to live on in our hearts and memories.

So, in the words of Greek, "When I die set me on my bike and gather everyone together for one last shot."

A Celebration of Greek's Life will be held 1pm, Friday, October 28, 2022 at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 Grant Street in Thornton.

Following the service, please join his family at the Shukas residence for some tears of sorrow and laughter as we send Greek off in style.
