Walter David Weinmeister

Walter David Weinmeister, beloved husband, stepfather, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2024, in Broomfield, Colorado. He was born on June 8, 1958, in Denver, Colorado to the late Ruben Weinmeister and Emily Icke.

Walter grew up and attended schools in Westminster. After graduation, he worked in Building Maintenance for the City of Westminster. He met and married the love of his life, Mary. They were married on August 12, 1994, in Brighton CO. After they were married, together they built a beautiful life and loving family.

Family and friends were extremely important in his life. He enjoyed family vacations to Idaho, where he would go fishing and hunting with his brothers. Walt was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and would attend the annual Sturgis bike rally with his family and friends. Walt treasured family gatherings, he loved being surrounded by his family and making each one of them feel special and loved in his own unique way.

Walt is survived by his loving family that includes his devoted wife, Mary Weinmeister; loving children, Charmaine Holter (David) of Thornton, CO and Lisa Valdez (Steve) of Thornton, CO; precious grandchildren, Felisha, Samantha, Savanna, Amanda, David III, Landry, Emery, Ava and great grandson Mateo; siblings, Eric (Sue), Kirk (Kathy), Jane (Tim), Sherri and Trina (Moe); as well as many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends.

Celebration of life will take place Friday March 8, 2024, from 12:00p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Westminster City Park Recreation Center, 10455 Sheridan Boulevard, Westminster CO. 80020.
