

She was born on December 23, 1920 in Akron, Colorado.
She graduated from Brush High school in 1938, was married on February 23, 1939 to the love of her life, Alex Lopez of Crook, Colorado. They moved to Merino, Colorado to start their life together and raised five children. This is where she received a LPN license. Victoria volunteered for various nonprofits throughout her life.
In 1961 the family moved off the farm to Thornton, Colorado where she got involved with the Democratic Party and the VFW Post 7945, where she served as auxiliary President for several terms.
Victoria is preceded in death by her husband Alex G. Lopez Sr, her son Alan Lopez, daughter-in-law Marsha Lopez and her eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons; Alex Lopez Jr.; Dennis Lopez( former City Councilman;, daughter Patricia Hernandez and her husband Frank Hernandez; her son Donald Lopez and his wife Dawneen McKillop; 11grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held December 30, 2016 from 4 to 7pm at Olinger Highland Mortuary located at 10201 Grant Street in Thornton, CO. A rosary will be held January 2, 2017 at 7pm, and the Mass of Christian Burial will be January 3, 2017 at 10:30am located at Holy Cross Catholic Church; 9371 Wigham St,Thornton, CO. Burial to follow at Olinger Highland Cemetery in Thornton, CO.
