Valerie M. Baird of Thornton, Colorado passed away December 19, 2019 in Thornton. Valerie was born May 13, 1944 in Denver, Colorado to Bernard E. and Marialice (Dunham) Engler. She and Daniel Baird married on June 15, 1973 in Thornton. She is survived by her husband; children Dennis Baird, Brian Baird, Michelle Woods and Diana Gregory; grandchildren Nicole, Alisha, Michael, Ryan, Adriana, Shelby, Rachael, Trey, Joshua, Kristi, and Alena; great grandchildren Wyatt and McKenna; siblings Rosalind Morrison, Bernard Engler, Mary Elise Engler, Paul Engler and Matthew Engler. Valerie is preceded in death by her parents, brother Matthew Engler, nephew Matthew Morrison and granddaughter Alisha Fraine.
Val attended St. Catherine Catholic School in Denver. She was a wonderful homemaker with endless talents. She had a great sense of humor and a contagious smile. She devoted her life to her husband Danny, four children, eleven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Val was adored and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation, will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary, beginning at 6:00 PM for Valerie will be held Friday, December 27, 2019 at Olinger Highland Mortuary located at 10201 Grant Street in Thornton, Colorado. The funeral service followed by committal service will occur Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 1:00 PM also at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery.
