Stanley was born to Merle and Muriel Mahoney in Windsor, Connecticut, on June 11, 1928. He passed away at age 84, December 28, 2012. A psychologist by profession and a hiker by passion, he and Martha traveled to every state in the US and several countries. He, also, enjoyed gardening, reading and a vigorous discussion of politics. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Martha; daughter Linda (Dennis) Kennedy of Broomfield, son David of Redondo Beach, California; granddaughters, Jennifer Becker and Amanda (Gary Jesuale) Becker and great-granddaughter, Violet Becker. He is predeceased by his parents; daughter, Kathleen Bertram and brother, Dr. Lawrence Mahoney.
