Sarah (Olguin) Gallegos passed from this world to her place in heaven on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the age of 101. Sarah was born October 19, 1919 in the small mining town of Columbine near Fort Lupton where her father Ben Olguin (deceased) was working. Although she never went past the sixth grade in school she loved reading. She especially loved all her family and was very proud of them. Being the oldest of 11 children she helped her mother Sally (Maes) Olguin (deceased) raise them and was like their second mother. She outlived all of her siblings as God needed her to be here on earth longer.
Sarah was also preceded in death by her husband Martin E. Gallegos, eldest daughter Lorna (Bob) DeLuca and grand-daughter Dawn DeLuca. She is survived by her children Martin Gallegos Jr., Joelle (Harold, deceased) Strickler, Annette (Ernie) Marranzino, 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The immediate family is having a small private service with a celebration of life to follow when the pandemic is under control.
