Ronald Lawrence Lucero II passed away on May 20, 2024, in his home in Thornton, Colorado.
Ronald “Buddy” Lucero Jr. was born on August 14, 1979, in Santa Monica, California to Ronald Lawrence Sr. and Theresa Lucero.
He lived a happy childhood in LA California until he and his family moved to Denver in the early 90’s. He met the love of his life Rosalynda Rodarte in 1996 and soon after, in 1997 they would be blessed with their first child Ronald the third. Six years later he would be blessed with another child in 2003 with Isaac. In 2004 Buddy and Rosalynda would be wed. They would be married 20 years to come, and, in that time, he would be blessed with their third child Sophia. Buddy would come across many challenges in life, but he would always care for his wife and children.
In Buddy’s time, he welcomed everyone as if they were family without prejudice. He loved teaching his children when he had the chance, he taught them family always comes first and strong work ethics. His dedication to bringing happiness and well-being to his family had no boundaries. Buddy loved the Raiders so much that he watched them every chance he got and even bought as much apparel as he could. He was a great chef and he loved to cook for others. He loved improving his home and vehicles. Every chance he got you would catch him working on his cars or house.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalynda Lucero, and his three children, Ronnie III (Taylor) Lucero, Isaac, Sophia. He is also survived by his grandchild Sicilia. He is also survived by three sisters, Ronn-Terra, Terriah (Humberto), and Sherriah, and one sister-in-law Desiree Rodarte. He is also survived by his parents Ronald SR., Theresa, Valere Rodarte (Richard). He is also survived by his grandmother Connie.
A viewing and Rosary (6pm) will be held on Thursday, May 30th from 4 -7 PM at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 Grant St., Thornton, CO 80229, followed by a small reception. The Funeral will be held on Friday, May 31st with a viewing starting @10:00 am and a mass to follow @ 11:00 AM at Assumption Catholic Church, 2361 E 78th Ave, Denver, CO 80229. Following the service, please join the family for a reception starting at 1:00pm to 5:00pm located at the VFW Post 501: 4747 W Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80204
