Robert R. Stevens

Bob was born on November 27, 1928 in Roseville, Michigan to Joseph and Gertrude Stevens. He lived in the area his entire childhood. After high school, Bob enlisted in the Coast Guard where he served for 3 years. After he left the Coast Guard, Robert moved west to Colorado to take a job at the Air Reserve Personnel Center, where he worked until he retired in 1984.

While on a trip to Estes Park, he met Claris Wright, and they were married in 1962. Together, they raised two sons. Bob will be remembered as a loving father, companion, and friend. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, scuba diving, gardening, travel, dancing, and karaoke.

He will be dearly missed by his sons Michael Stevens (Carolyn) and Christopher Stevens, his Darlin' of 29 years Nancee Meng, and many relatives and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife Claris (Wright) Stevens, who we imagine had a big smile on her face when she got to see him again. He was also preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Gertrude Stevens and his brother James Stevens.

Visitation will be between 4:00pm and 7:00pm on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Olinger Highland Mortuary, Thornton, Colorado. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on January 27, 2022, also at Olinger Highland Mortuary, followed by a luncheon. Robert will be laid to rest at the Olinger Highland Cemetery.
