Robert Edward Lewis

Robert E Lewis passed away on Sunday January 15, 2023 in Parker Colorado. Robert was born on October 29, 1928 in Denver, Colorado to Robert C. Lewis and Vera E. Lewis. He was baptized at Broadway Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa on June 16, 1929.

Robert had a younger sister, Betty, and a younger brother, Ray. They were a close family. He graduated from Union High School in Adams City, Colorado in 1947. Robert served in the army from January, 1951 through January 1953. Robert later got a job with the U S Postal Service, where he remained until his retirement in 1983.

Robert enjoyed playing Softball, and had joined many leagues over the years. He also enjoyed bowling, and, had participated in many bowling leagues. Robert enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and football. He had season tickets to the Denver Broncos for many years.

Robert married his wife, Lori, on August 6, 1974. They served as foster parents for several years. His wife, Lori, preceded him in death in 2011. Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Richardson, and his brother, Ray Lewis.

A visitation for Robert will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229. A funeral service will follow from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, also at Olinger Highland. Private interment will take place at Olinger Evergreen Cemetery.
