Verl was born in Elmont, Kansas. He came to Colorado where he worked in the mines and played his guitar.
He married Elaine and worked as a mechanic and truck driver.
In 1972, he started his own business auto repair shop, that continues to flurish with his son and daughter-in-law.
Verl loved to travel in his motor home, going as far East and as far West as land allowed.
He loved racing and his dog, Tiger.
He never quit loving music and never met a stranger.
Verl is survived by his wife of 72 years, Elaine; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Rosemary; grandchildren, Brandi Jackson, Sheree Pfannenstiel and James Pfannenstiel; and great-grandchildren, Shanice, Joseph and Kiara.
A Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, April 9. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 10, both at Olinger Highland Mortuary.
