Richard Arthur Young, USAF; Retired

After graduation from high school, Richard decided to serve his country and enlisted in the military. Richard served as a Communication Specialist and later a Training Coordinator in a military career that spanned over twenty years, before his retirement in 1975. At the time of his retirement, Richard was a Master Sargent.

Richard met his beloved wife Zelma at a church party. They were married, September 23, 1961 and spent nearly fifty-eight years together. After retirement from the Air Force, Richard and Zelma enjoyed working together on an ambulance in Northglenn, Colorado.

Richard’s favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing, which he enjoyed as often as his leisure time would allow.

Richard and Zelma were the proud parents of: Suzannē, Dawn, Lori and Larry; loving grandparents of: Zach, Krista, Ariel, Tyler, Tara, Amanda and Hunter.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Zelma; their children and grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed.
