During high school, she worked as a waitress in a local restaurant as well as on the family farm near Arapahoe, Nebraska. Following her graduation in 1946, she moved to Denver, Colorado to attend business school. To help pay for her room and board, she did odd jobs such as babysitting. After finishing school, Patsy worked for a bank doing accounting. On the weekends, she and her friends joined the YWCA and would go dancing.
During one outing to Evergreen Lake, she met her future husband Jack while ice-skating. In 1951, they married and a few years later had their son Kerry. Patsy transitioned to a full-time housekeeper which also included being a Cub Scout den mother, volunteer for the March of Dimes, Little League baseball / football team mom, and many other unsung activities, such as square dancing. She loved to craft, making many different items decorated with cross-stitch and composed of plastic canvas.
She leaves behind one son, two grandchildren, several cousins, numerus nephews and nieces along with friends. She was loved and will be missed.
