She was born on February 2nd, 1949, in Iquique, Chile to Julian Cirilo Gamboa Zapata and Lucila Rios Hidalgo.
Patricia grew up in Iquique,Chile. In her early years, she moved to Santiago, where she finished school. After her graduation, she moved to La Serena to study nursing. During this time, she met many friends that she stayed connected with throughout her life.
Patricia loved organizing get-togethers in her home in Pirque where there was always laughter, music, teatime, and games. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, and fruit trees. She loved this so much that she had a greenhouse built in her property and opened a nursery with her husband Roberto. During this time, she also met new friends that stayed in her life forever.
Patricia moved to the United States in 2006, during this time, she dedicated herself to take care of her ill husband. She loved her grandchildren and spent a lot of time caring for them and teaching them Spanish and good manners. She shared her love of baking with all those who stayed close to her. Sharing recipes with her family was one of her favorite pastimes.
Patricia is survived by her children Macarena Virginia Anguita Gamboa, Cristobal Ignacio Anguita Gamboa, Constanza Zabalaga Gamboa; siblings, Rosalia Gamboa Rios, Lucila Gamboa Rios, Fabriciano Gamboa Rios, and her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roberto Enrique, Zabalaga Catalan.
